Jake update

Oh I know you will all enjoy this blog. So Jake is almost 5! yes I said 5. He only has 10 weeks left until his birthday and yes he can not wait. He is in Pre School from 9-12 every day. I almost had a anxiety attack dropping him off at school last week when he went on his very first field trip. But he had a great time riding a real bus and going to the pumpkin patch. Another lovely thing that made me feel old this week was parent teacher conference. So Jake is doing great in school teacher says he is ready for kindergarten, only one thing is working on his shyness and self confidence. Just like me if he does something and it is not perfect he will not want to do it or finish it. So the teacher stopped giving him pencils with erasers lol. Every day after I get off work I go and pick him up and he has to hug EVERYONE goodbye. And I can not trick him by going out the other way, so he not only has me used to it every one just holds out there arms while we leave ha ha. His teacher gives him 5 free hugs a day after that she chargers so he counts out his hugs every day lol. He can write anything you tell him, his name he has memorized. He does not need to trace or see the letters if you just tell him he can write it. He loves to sing, Play XBOX, computer games, ride his bike, books. He absolutely adores the Blue Angels in fact if we have a party that is the theme for birthday #5. He says when he grows up he will be a pilot and not just any pilot a Blue Angel pilot. He still loves trains and everything boy! We love going to red box and watching movies. He loves Taco Bell too lol. He is a BIG eater can out eat me on most days and is learning to like and try new things. He really is a love but can be like uncle Josh and pester you ha ha. He weighs almost 50 pounds and reaches up to my rib cage so he is getting really tall. I may just turn around one day and he will be looking me in the eyes. That's how it feels these days growing up so fast my little handsome boy. Well that's all for now I will be back with another blog soon, love ya

It's a date!

What a marvelous thing it is to have a son. I mean it is crazy to think I am responsible on raising a man. My J is a little man learning things now so he can make the best choices in life as a grown man. I try to remember this in every thing I do in his life that one day he will be reacting to situations in a positive calm manner. Well we both try lol. He has been telling me a lot lately that when he grows up he is going to be a dad. Everything is when I'm big I will be a dad and drive you around. Or when i am dad I will pump the gas. or things like when I'm big I will be a blue angel pilot and a dad. Yes he is obsessed with the blue angels and wants to be a pilot. It melts my heart to think that he wants to take care of me in this way. He is starting to realize the role of a family. And is starting to want sibling ha ha!!! scary! So I decided to take a weekend and just splurge! Jake and I decided it was time to have a weekend get away. So I made reservations, went shopping, and packed our bags. We left at 1:30 after I got off work and picked him up. But we left from his school to make it quicker. Jake feel asleep until we reached our pit stop cause omg! I had to pee! He of course got a big bowl of ice cream (yes I know the best car snack ever lol right..) We got to Pismo around 4:30 we made it in less than 3 hours. We checked into the hotel, then took a walk on the beach. We unpacked and got ready for our dinner date. J got to pick the restaurant, so we ate outside at Brad's so so good. Of course we both ordered fish and chips. The next morning we woke up early and took a long walk on the beach and collected rocks (my fav). We played on the swings a bit and came back for snacks and showered up. We spent most of the day lounging at the beach building sand castles and following dog prints on the beach. We hit up the pool and jacuzzi for a while. Then we refreshed and went to the clam festival. Jake played and we had another nice dinner together and a bit of looking around at all the booths. Sunday we woke up early spent some time on the beach and then packed up and got ready to check out. Before we left we went to the peer and the booths and some shopping. We left early since we never sleep in any more. And we got home about 1:30 so another 3 hour drive it was just perfect. That was just so refreshing to do something for our selves and relax. Jake and I had the time of our lives just taking time out to be us. Enjoy the pics cause we enjoyed the beach..

A day in the life of me...

Well nothing really to this blog just thought I would give you a insight of a day in the life of me. So up at 5 am, Jake up at 6 (ya right its more like 620 dragging him out saying hurry up).. Out the door *here is wishing* by 6:30. Pray.. Get Jake to pre school. Of course he is hammering down breakfast in the back and I'm just thankful I have my cup of coffee... Kisses or I love you good bye, while Jake now gets embarrassed, hopefully that will pass haha ya right. Off to the free way, praying I don't lose my cool. At work always about 5 m in early open the lab to either nobody or a mob. Which I like both, I love my job! I work by myself for the first hour then my only co worker for that location arrives. Work, work, more work we all know what that in tails. Have a quick lunch. Then work again alone until its time to go home about 1ish. Unless im covering else were then I run to that location. Pick up Jake from school, he is always excited to see me. And before we leave he has to hug EVERYONE good bye, kind of annoying actually lol.. Some times we head home some times we run our arons. Or other boring stuff.. Where ever the day leads. Home, feed Jake, clean, work out, cook more food for Jake, clean, rest finally!!! And then some fun time with Jake.. Jake showered and ready for bed.. Lights out for Jake usually between 730-830, depends on his day.. I usually say oh great he is in bed and asleep me time.. And by the time I'm in bed with a book I'm out like a light.. lol, life is so good to be me.. All the simple things like hugs from Jake and smiles, to time with my friends and family. Although some days I want to strangle him he always seems to get out of it with his sly ways.. But he is my Jake I guess and he is the best at being my buddy so I cant trade him in.

Jake loves playing airplane..

Ha I know my jacket is the best! I can not wait to wear it.. I love the cold weather but it is not here yet....

A day at grandmas

All dirty at home or at grandmas

doug doing his best and tourchoring the children..

doing the apple slicer

Two peas in a pod

Our family just loves these days! Time at grandmas house were everything seems to be better and so simple. We went there a few weeks ago two Saturdays in a row. We picked tons of peaches and apples and even some produce. We spent time learning how to make home made apple sauce, which was very good by the way. Jake spent most of the time watering with grandpa and watching star wars with the guys. He did however like slicing apples. Always wanting to learn and help in the kitchen.. After wards we even got time to play my favorite game, pedro!! I still have tons of applesauce in my freezer but nothing can take away these wonderful times we love going to grandmas..

Zoo day

Well this blog is obvious by the pictures. I had Athena for a few days so we decided we must do something fun. A trip to the zoo!!! Okay so I was up at 445 that morning so I was very tired. I had to open the lab and worked a few hours but we made it to the zoo about 10:30. It was about 85 degrees so hot but not horrible. Athena had the best time. She hated the elephants but loved the reptile house. Her and Jake get along so well and he is like a big brother to her. He is so good at sharing and taking care of her. We went to the sting ray bay and had snacks. which was more like lunch with both there appetites and the zoo food is outrageously expensive. Other wise we had a great time together.

Jake and Athena riding along in the wagon...

Jake trying to pet the sting rays..

I love this pic I was trying to take a pic of me and Athena and Jake popped his head in right before it flashed lol..

She is deffinetly a loushoe's girl...
