As close as it comes to spring break

This weekend Jake and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend in Pismo. With of course my 2 other best friends, could not see my life with out them. Julie and Dwight you are amazing! Had a blast! When I got off work on Friday we headed up to the beach. Jake bugged us all week but we finally got there. We had plenty of time to walk the beach since we got there at 5. Road tripping is fun especially with coffee and black licorice lol. Jake loves the beach! So the first thing after checking in we went for a long walk on the beach. Back to the hotel for freshning up and dinner at the one and only fish and chips! YUMMO! Then that's the night when I got my nose pierced, yay! And of course girl time with ju ju. Saturday we had breakfast at the hotel and went down to the beach all day. We had a great spot next to the swings. We played all day, and yes I got sun burnt... boo! I never burn... Had dinner at a great place its on my new fav lists for pismo. Then outlet shopping with the ju ju and Jake too. He had to come along.. And some shopping on sunday of course and now we are back to reality lol. So I have to say I would love to have a vacation from a vacation but until next time I will have to wait 2 more weeks until I can sleep in again... Hope you enjoy all the pics.. Im a vampire! Yes we can still be friends.

Well I am sitting here waiting for my pismo pic's to upload. So I thought hey what a great time to write you all about my job. So many keep asking me about it and what I all do. So here it goes... I have been working for Quest Diagnostics for almost 3 months now. I absolutely LOVE IT! I have worked hard at getting and keeping my phlebotomy license and it paid off. I am also certified nationally too. I have a as I call early bird shift. I am up at 430ish... lol.. To be at work a few min before 6. I work at the most popular site. Some mornings I have 15 people lined up, yes at 5am! It's pretty insane. I do rotate here and there when needed (we have 12 locations in the Fresno area). I do everything meaning, inputting and coding req's (this is a chore in itself, there are thousands of tests). I draw the blood and process the specimens. Which can include (all day long) pouring off urines, blood specimens, serum, urine cultures, tubes. Everything has a requirment such as frozen, refrigerated, so many things I can easly say I can work at this job for over 20 years and learn somthing everyday. Everyday there is somthing new it never gets old. I love seeing new faces and easing people into likeing (well not hating) getting there blood drawn. It never fails in the day that a patient tells me how they didnt feel a thing and they were expecting much worst and it makes me happy to think I helped there fears. I know what I do is not a place to make friends (lol) but I do it the best I can. It is pretty sad when you obsessed with veins and drawing blood, maybe I really am a vampire.
Some days are crazy like seeing 102 patients in a 5 hour time frame. Making that 20 patients per hour for me.. Also the things you see and hear. Or like my favorite so far being offered a job position in the adult film industry (oh yeah a 1,000 buck a day).. You know I love my job way to much for a new job.. hahaha I still laugh over that one. Needles to say (haha I made a funny) I love it! I work my hours but since its so busy some days it feels as if im there an hour before its time to get off. So if your ever scared to get blood work you can always come to me haha. Anyways I hope you all enjoyed reading about my job. I would love questions,

Home Sweet Home

Well it's with great joy I write this post. Jake and I finally have our own home! We dont share a home (no offense) with any one. It's such a wonderful feeling to call a place of our own. No more living out of our suitcases. It was with hard work, lots of prayers, tithing, and more work that finally paid off. What you sow you shall reap, and a great harvest it will be. I know the long road seems tough at times but its the long roads that get you there and not the short cutts.
God really knew what I wanted because it seemed I would never find a place that was just perfect and in budget. Well I got a 2 bedroom 2 bath its got a fireplace and even a little porch for Jake to play. It's a single level so no one lives above or below me. I live off of the street so I do not have to go into a complex if I dont want. And its in the richey area so the houses and views are so nice to drive by. I literally live in river park area so I can walk to anything. Also live next to woodward park ( I really need to go there some time). I just absolutely love my new place. And Jake is thrilled to have his own room! I sent out pic's already so here are just a few. I promise to get more up once im done decorating. We are so blessed to have this new place and I thought you all would enjoy seeing our new home. Take part in our celebration, until the next blog...
